By obtaining your Pleasure Craft Operator Card you can legally operate a motorized vessel in Canada with the knowledge and skills you need to boat safely and be confident while on the water. You must also have knowledge of basic boating terminology, engine types and the diverse types of pleasure craft you may operate or encounter while boating. You should understand the limitations and handling characteristics of the different types of pleasure craft that operate in Canada’s waterways.
