Vessel Operation Restrictions Regulations
The Vessel Operation Restriction Regulations limit where certain types of boats may be operated, or where special conditions apply (like swimming areas). These restrictions are often identified with signs and waterway markers, and have been put in place for public safety.
Some of these restrictions include:
- A ban on motorized boats,
- Maximum boat engine power limits,
- Boat speed limits,
- A ban on recreational towing activities
Boat operators are required to follow these regulations, and should always become familiar with any local restrictions for the area where they’re boating before heading out on the water!
