Manual Propelling Device
Most boats are required to carry a manual propelling device, such as paddles or oars with oarlocks. These devices can be used to manoeuver your boat in case of a mechanical breakdown.
If you’re operating a boat that is less than 8 m in length, you may use an anchor with a minimum of 15 m of rope, cable, or chain, in place of a manual propelling device.
