LEVER ACTION RIFLE
Commonly called the ‘cowboy action’, many hunters consider lever actions to be one of the easiest action types to use. It only requires a fast down/up pull on the lever handle to kick out an empty cartridge, feed in a new one, and cock the hammer.
If you’re into scopes, keep in mind that the top-ejecting versions of lever action rifles will not be scope-friendly. Many big game hunters prefer using lever action rifles for their ease of use, balance, reliability and accuracy.
