Module 07 - MARKSMANSHIP
SITTING POSITION
The sitting position is the second steadiest shooting position. Like with prone position, being lower to the ground will help stabilize your body weight.
Shooting in Sitting Position
Sit solidly on the ground, with your legs crossed or open—whatever feels most comfortable to you. Your body should be positioned about 30° to the right of your target. Place your left tricep just outside of the bony part of your left knee, tucking that elbow as far under the firearm as possible. Then, place your right elbow on your right knee.
Lefty?
If you’re a lefty, place your right tricep just outside of the bony part of your right knee, tucking that elbow as far under the firearm as possible. Then, place your left elbow on your left knee.
