Module 07 - MARKSMANSHIP
SHOOTING POSITION
When properly positioned, a shotgun shooter looks like a boxer in the ring. Your feet should be spread apart, your body should feel balanced and your arms should be free to comfortably swing to the right and to the left of the target. Your body weight should shift when shooting to the leading leg (this is the left leg if you shoot righty or the right leg if you shoot lefty).
Trigger Tip
Unlike a rifle trigger, a shotgun trigger needs more of a quick slapping motion, rather than a perfectly timed, patient squeeze. Shotgun shooting is a faster, point-and-shoot style of shooting, rather than precise aiming, with a hard fast trigger pull at the very last minute.
