DUCK BLINDS
Duck blinds are the duck hunter’s version of the ground blind. The main differences are the set-up location and the print of the camouflage.
These blinds are set up in swampy, waterside locations where ducks are likely to feed or to fly by. Once the blind is set up, hunters position their duck decoys and use their duck calls to attract the birds to fly within shooting range. A prime blind location would be a spot where the ducks would be landing into the wind and then passing over the top of the blind as they make their way toward the decoys. This way, the ducks will slowly float toward your set-up and into your shooting range.
When you’re picking out your duck blind remember that the camouflage should look swampy. Not woodsy or wintry. Make sure you get the right pattern or the ducks will spot you from the sky and opt for the next pond over.

Game birds fly across the continent every year, watching out for anything that looks ‘off’ the entire time. You think a drake arriving from the sunny south won’t notice if you forgot to camouflage your face? Sure he will.
