You don’t just pick up a bow and start blasting off arrows. Well, you do, but you need to know how to do it safely and successfully.

First things first, make sure all the following factors are matched up and jiving:

• Your bow must match your body size, strength and shooting style.
• Your arrows must match the bow (be the correct stiffness and length).
• Your arrow shafts must match each other—never mix different arrow types because different arrows will fly differently (arrowheads can change though, depending on what’s being hunted).       
• Your bowhunting equipment must match the type of game you intend to hunt. Are you hunting small game? Big game? Or just hitting targets?
