In order to truly be PADDLERsmart! you should participate in ‘Paddle Smart’, a vessel identification operation run by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. You simply fill out the information on the orange sticker and then place the sticker on your paddle craft. The sticker can help to recover lost or stolen paddle craft and can aid in your rescue in an overboard emergency situation. ‘Paddle Smart’ stickers are available at your state boating safety agency upon request.
