HOW TO USE FLAT-BED TRAILERS
STEP 1
Remove the self storing ramp and secure it on the side of the trailer where you'll load the snowmobile. There will be grooves or channels where the ramp will attach.
STEP 2
If the trailer is equipped with fold down ramps, remove the security pin and fold the ramp down.
STEP 3
Once the ramp has been secured, slowly drive the snowmobile up the ramp.
STEP 4
Ease off the throttle as the skis reach the top of the loading ramp and SLOWLY drive forward until the snowmobile is in the correct position to be tied down.
STEP 5
Once the snowmobile is in position, engage the parking brake.
STEP 6
The trailer will be equipped with a rod or bar which will be placed across the skis. The rod will be held in place at the outside ends by a snap pin and will be screwed into the trailer’s deck at the center of the trailer bed.
STEP 7
Tie down the rear of the machine to the trailer using ratchet straps.
STEP 8
If there is a second machine to be loaded, move the ramp to the other side of the trailer and repeat the loading process.
STEP 9
Once the loading process is complete, secure the ramp with the safety pins.
STEP 10
To unload a snowmobile from a Flat-Bed Trailer, make sure the towing vehicle has been parked at an angle away from the unloading ramp to allow enough room for the snowmobile to exit safely.
STEP 11
Place the ramp at the front of the trailer OR fold down the folding ramp.
STEP 12
Remove all tie downs and straps, disengage the parking brake and drive the sled slowly and cautiously down the ramp, staying clear of the towing vehicle.
STEP 13
Replace the ramp and store all tie downs and straps in a safe location.
